Hear again.
Formation
Forming people
Slowing down and learning to hear and perceive again. Faith comes from hearing. This is the “being before doing” work: grounding, listening, health.
Goldenwood exists to renew our vision of work, and that renewal begins with slowing down to perceive more.

Work is the making of the unseen seen. Everything Goldenwood does moves along that one path, from what is unseen toward what is seen.
Hear again.
Forming people
Slowing down and learning to hear and perceive again. Faith comes from hearing. This is the “being before doing” work: grounding, listening, health.
Dream anew.
Cultivating ideas
Turning that renewed hearing into dreaming. Helping people slow down enough to see what is beginning to emerge, and understand it.
Make together.
Nurturing the new
The careful, communal work of nurturing a dream into something real: prototyping the new into existence, in community rather than through speed or profit-first logic.
Formation, Cultivation and Creation are not a list of programs. They are the path. The programs are how we walk it, for individuals and for organizations and sectors.
The path stays the same. We grow slowly by going deeper and by making room for more.
The path for individuals.
The path applied to individual people. Formation in Nautilus, Trellis and the Goldenwood Intensive; cultivation in the Greenhouse; creation in Institute Labs. A rhythm to return to more deeply over changing seasons, not levels to unlock.
The path for organizations, sectors and whole disciplines.
The same path applied to whole fields. More bespoke and relationship-driven. Currently anchored in Red Vineyard, which begins with singer-songwriters, extends to film and screenwriters with a 2027 film cohort, and hopes to welcome visual artists and writers, adding one field at a time.
The most intensive individual formation program. A structured arc, September through April, forming people in their relationship with time, God, self, others, and work. Weekly on Zoom plus three in-person retreats. Communal, not a do-it-yourself workbook.
A lighter formation rhythm that tracks alongside Nautilus. Six times a year, two weeks per theme; a short daily guided listening session at midday with a two-week Listening Book. Best after Nautilus, reconnecting with community in a listening mode.
The multi-day in-person formation experience. Being over doing; perception, prayer, shared story.
Takes an emerging dream and slows people down to understand what is really surfacing. Formerly the Dream Forum, born when people's dreams were being dashed and we wanted to revive the sense that we could still dream.
Takes cultivated ideas and does the careful work of bringing something into the world, communally: bringing people in to test and prototype ideas into existence, deliberately unlike venture-capital speed and profit logic. Runs a few times a year.
Consulting with organizations and sectors, strategically focused on the arts as foundational to a healthy ecosystem. Named after Van Gogh's The Red Vineyard: build a healthy arts ecosystem first, then overlay other sectors on top of it.
Tailored journeys for organizations and sectors, walking the same path at the scale of a whole field.

She does not look like I expect. Adorned in white. Her posture strong, her gaze confident. She looks sophisticated, elegant, beautiful.

In sixth grade, home sick with chicken pox, I wrote my first complete computer game. I was twelve, feverish, and I could not stop.

At the start of my GreenHouse journey, I knew my dream would involve life-giving creativity, connectedness, and healing, but I had so many…

“My concept of prayer is much bigger than it has ever been. The communal aspect of prayer has changed me — seeing that God can speak through me to encourage another — I realize my own brokenness doesn’t get in the way of when and how God wants to work. This is really encouraging to see the Spirit working.”Listening Retreat Participant, Designer
“I am so glad I decided to do more than one of these and I highly encourage and recommend that everyone does the same. There really is something to be said about repetition and building up rhythms. And the structure is so well thought through and designed.”Trellis participant, Arts Administrator
“I knew this would be a well-crafted and executed experience, but I don’t think I realized how impactful it would be to come together via Zoom to discuss, discern, and dialogue about AI. The course content was excellent, but the encouragement and insight I gained from this group of strangers was truly an unexpected blessing that I didn’t realize I needed.”Institute Course Participant, Librarian, Stuart, FL
“I’ve never experienced such a dynamic prayer life in community. It has been really transformative to my faith. This experience made tangible what it looks like to run the race with others who are spurring you on, exhorting one another to persevere.”Program Participant, Marketing Executive
